LEau was the first Diptyque fragrance to be created and was originally developed in 1968. It is based on an English recipe for pot pourri and pomander. It is no surprise that cinnamon and cloves are among its key ingredients. These spices blend with geranium, sandalwood and roses to produce an aromatic fragrance that is neither masculine nor feminine. Think of a rich, dark, flavourful gingerbread steeped in floral top notes and you will appreciate this scent. LEau is a classic and authentic fragrance that touches on all aspects of traditional perfume making. Like the pot pourri that inspired it, it releases the different notes of its scent at different times of the day giving it constantly changing qualities.
