Aedes de Venustas Palissandre d'Or Eau de Parfum is a unisex woody perfume. A symphony of fine-grained burnished woods transforms into a sweetly opulent scent. The Eau de Parfum Palissandre d'Or, which comes in a palette of burnt sienna, lacquered red and molten gold, sheds a new light on the immemorial scent of precious woods. The idea originated from the rosewood tree, also known as Dalbergia sissoo, which has historically been the main rosewood species of northern India. Another type of rosewood, “palisander,” reminiscent of intricate carvings and serene Asian groves, provided the inspiration. "I can't create fragrances that are too figurative," explains perfumer Alberto Morillas. "For me a perfume is a melody." Abstract but intensely evocative, Palissandre d'Or Eau de Parfum expresses the quintessence of Alberto Morillas' style, defined by the master in three words: "Fluidity, transparency and power". In this dazzling olfactory inlay, crystalline ambrette, a natural musk with facets of rose, pear and iris, illuminates rich inlays of fresh spices such as pink pepper, coriander and nutmeg. When the intense heat of cinnamon rises, the perfume opens its heart to reveal its secret: a rare sandalwood extract from Sri Lanka. Subtly smoky, rosé and creamy, it is made even more luxurious by the milky warmth of copahu balm and silky patchouli extract. The scent of ambrox, an intriguing fusion of warm, clean bark and sun-kissed skin, spreads its delicate patterns wherever it is sprayed. Additionally, a bold trio of cedar essences add structure and texture to this lustrous blend. Virginian cedar, clean and vigorous, gives vigor and rhythm.
