O Hira by Stephane Humbert Lucas is a perfume of pure amber, an almost primitive and fossilized smell.
The composition is based on a tone-on-tone construction; a layering of amber, leather and woody notes led by a superb pyrogenic styrax. The notes, simultaneously strong and delicate, quickly reveal sensations of earth, saltpetre, amber and cinnamon. The core is solid, based on tonka bean, toasted vanilla and musk.
To say that O Hira is perhaps the best amber fragrance in the world is not so much a matter of opinion as a matter of pedigree. Creator and nose Stéphane Humbert Lucas set out to create an amber perfume that spared no expense, and traveled to the most unimaginable places, in search of the purest and most precious ingredients in the world. A process that took 2 years of intense and meticulous work, but the result is nothing short of extraordinary: O Hira, the powerful and authentic scent of fossilized amber, a masterpiece that Lucas considers "the diamond of the collection".
There is no pyramid of scent in O Hira, no given note to consider outside of fossilized amber. But hidden in the simplicity is a breathtaking depth, an amber that seems to be sweet, rich, warm, spicy, powdery and smoky all at once, the kind of amber that almost makes you wonder if you are smelling it for the first time. O Hira has a true uncompromising quality, an approach mirrored in the elegant, as well as its authentic bottle with platinum lettering and hand-crafted silver stopper.
