Cabochard by Grès is an iconic leather fragrance for women that combines power and elegance. The top notes are an intriguing combination of aldehydes, aromatic sage, exotic spices, refreshing lemon and slightly herbaceous notes of tarragon and asafoetida. Together, they form a fresh and deep introduction.
Floral accords dominate the heart of the perfume, dove rose, geranium, jasmine, orris root and exotic ylang-ylang meet. This rich blend gives the fragrance a delicate and aromatic character that perfectly balances its sensuality.
The base of the fragrance is made up of strong woody and earthy notes of leather. Leather, tobacco, vetiver, patchouli and sandalwood dominate the scent, complemented by musk, amber, a touch of coconut and moss. This composition evokes Madame Grès' memories of the tranquil beaches of India, combining the freshness of the sea air with warm spicy notes.
The perfume was launched in 1959 by Bernard Chant.
